Blasts targeting election candidates continue unabated
PESHAWAR/QUETTA: Attacks and bomb blasts targeting the election candidates across the country, especially in Quetta, Panjgur, Gawadar, Hangu and Peshawar continuing unabated, however, no loss of life took place, Geo News reported.
ANP election office was targeted in the wee hours today, as a blast occurred nearby at Faqir Chowk of Peshawar, injuring one.
Quetta local transporter’s house at Kali Chiltan was attacked by rocket, while high school, girls’ school and primary school in Panjgur were attacked by hand grenade, polling stations were set up in all these schools. Besides, a blast occurred near the house of BNP Awami candidate, Asadullah Baloch at Tasap in Panjgur.
A bomb blast rocked Shambay Ismail area of Gawadar, while an explosion occurred outside the house of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader, Ziaul Islam at Seengar, damaging windows, doors of the house
