Date for payment of taxes extended
ISLAMABAD, Sept 15: The Federal Board of Revenue has extended the date for payment of taxes/duties for the tax period of August 2011 for all registered persons.
The filing date has been extended up to Sept 20 to facilitate taxpayers, said an official announcement issued here on Thursday.
The FBR has asked all chief commissioners of large taxpayers units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to accept payment
from registered persons within the new due date.
This extension in date is for the tax period of August 2011 and is applicable to all registered persons. The decision was taken under the powers conferred under Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act 1990 and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act 2005.
